Resurrection

Right from the blue sky I could never see, I landed on true brown soil that once looked dark. For the very first time, resurrection happened in a heart beat. Everything the other way around. It seems weird to be here. For one thing, I don’t like sudden changes, but that’s not saying they aren’t welcome. Wait a minute, sudden changes are great, and that’s why I’m here, dammit! – said the old beard man, filled with everything but emotions as he reached for another shot of tonic juice. Next to him was the notebook he always carried around. He wasn’t bothered about it laying there, since there was really no one to steal it. At the bar everybody knew Joe from his bizarre stories late at night. This night was different however. About half passed twelve at night and still nobody had showed up. Joe started drinking his tonic and began the discussion without anyone’s company. It wasn’t the first time. I quickly began to wonder where everyone was. I wasn’t even suppose to be there, just went for the paycheck.

As I came in, Joe was talking to himself. He continued:

“It’s been decades of leisure time, sitting around and just observing. My notes don’t make any sense, and they just keep getting longer and longer. I hope by the time I leave they won’t fail on me.”

Knowing Joe from working regularly at the bar, I was still a stranger to his world, and so was he to mine.

“Hey Joe…”, I said to him – “Its been months of leisure time, sitting around just observing. Your notes don’t make any sense and they just keep getting longer and longer. I hope by the time you leave they won’t fail on me.”

“I’m still a stranger to this world”
